I recall people who had those concerns, but no one who

was "ADAMANT" that Bush would never leave office by declaring martial law and declaring himself POTUS for life. I also remember plenty of people speculating that GWB COULD be arrested, but no one who was "ADAMANT" that he would be. I don't know where you saw such ridiculous things, but I suspect that you've grossly exaggerated what you ACTUALLY saw.

Also, note that Gerald Ford didn't win reelection, there were a lot of angry voters who resented his decision re: Nixon, so I'm thinking that it is highly likely that few would follow Ford's example in pardoning Nixon by pardoning tRUMP -- but ESPECIALLY not for working with an enemy foreign country in messing with our fair election systems to get elected There is a WORLD of difference in the "crimes" of each man and anyone who succeeds tRUMP will certainly not want to have his stink all over him/herself from then on.

I'm not sure that I could predict with ANY accuracy whether an impeachment or an arrest after he leaves office is more likely. But I AM certain that one can only be impeached while IN office, so it's pretty silly to refer to an impeachment BEFORE leaving office as if there could even be such a thing after leaving office. It's as silly as remarking that someone was killed while still alive. That's a GIVEN since you can't kill someone who's already dead, just as you can't impeach someone AFTER they leave office.
