In FACT, in March of 2017, the tRUMP admin was talking about a wall ALMOST the entire 2,000 miles.

"The length of the wall itself has been the subject of mixed messages from the Trump administration. In March (2017), Customs and Border Protection told the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee that 1,827 miles of the border could contain a physical barrier. This would cover the extent of the currently un-walled portion of the U.S.-Mexico border."

So, OBVIOUSLY, at one time early on, tRUMP indicated to his admin that he WAS, in fact, looking at a MUCH, MUCH longer wall. He was TOLD that a significant portion of the border had natural "walls" so his wall began shrinking in length after that, as exhibited in the article.
