Plausible Deniability

The ones pushing it knew they just needed to give their base talking points that sounded reasonable, even if the experts knew that the talking points were crap. The right wing has learned that it can take advantage of the polarization of our society. All it has to do is present any issue as US vs THEM, and give US some talking points. BOOM. An instant, intractable base of support. Experts in any field are pushed aside, because they are seen as a part of the political struggle rather than outside of it.

We have to pound on this and expose the liars and their lies. We have to remind people that in the beginning, experts and facts were cited. We have to move those things outside of the politics again, or we're wasting time, money, and resources. Ajit Pai needs to go to prison. It may sound harsh, but he knew better. He knew what he was doing, and he did it anyway. He wasn't wrong, he lied to the people and pushed his agenda with an ulterior motive to benefit big corporations while hurting the people. And while he used to be employed by those corporations, I doubt that he did so merely because he has fond memories of his time there.

This is a situation that screams out for a real investigation.
