Do you believe that there should be NO physical barriers whatsoever on the border? Do you believe we should never improve, or even potentially take down any border structures we DO have?

The compromise is quite simple. Less than what the other guy wants, but more than you want.

If you insist on having NOTHING done, and he insists on having every foot covered in a 200 foot high wall of adamantium, there is no compromise from EITHER side.

However, if you accept SOME physical barrier improvements and he accepts LESS physical barrier improvements THAT is a compromise.

Do you really need that explained?

Seriously, what is the compromise position between "This is a wonderful idea!" and "This is the worst waste of money possible!"

So the choice is ZERO barrier, or an ocean-to-ocean wall? Who here is supporting no barriers whatsoever? That's another dishonest claim on your part unless you can post a quote.

The choices are broad. A COMPROMISE choice is SOMEWHERE between what you want, once you decide what that is, and what the other person wants, once you figure out what that is.
