Interesting point

While hating other races or ethnic groups might be considered morally suspect, if it didn't actually result in any bad behavior, that's less reprehensible. I personally don't care about how someone dressed up for a picture 30 years ago when they were an ignorant college kid, at least if they come out, apologize, and show that they've long since moved on. The idea that you'd have to resign purely because such a picture EXISTS is to me, ridiculous.

From my own family, it makes a difference how you dad used to talk some racist s--t at times, not a user of the so-called 'N word' but mildly derogatory. And yet put him in a situation with black people, he tended to treat them just like white people. I guess that's good, because you tend to follow what your parents DO, not what they SAY.

I'd like to see racism go away, but it's not doing that anytime soon. In the meantime, we should all obsess less over race and treat everyone better and more fairly. And maybe not be hypersensitive.
