a PLAN, one should ensure that the PLAN has at least SOME elements of reality in it...

If you want to sell a PLAN to CONGRESS (not just your core constituents back home) it has to be a PLAN that can be implemented... So the PLAN should include things like ACTUALLY applicable timelines.

No, I don't think she should put forth a plan that both Democrats and Republicans can get behind 100%...

But I think she should AT LEAST put forward a plan that doesn't have her FELLOW DEMOCRATS backpedalling.

No, I don't expect her to try and put together a plan that will garner REPUBLCIAN support to replace Nuclear Power with renewable energy... But she should AT LEAST try to put together a plan that has a reasonable enough timeline to get DEMOCRATS behind her...

Because... while without at least SOME Republican support her plan doesn't have a GREAT chance of success, it at least has SOME chance of success IF she gets her fellow DEMOCRATS solidly behind her...

But with a totally unrealistic plan, she can't even get that.
