Yes your right, however in the bible it also speaks of those whom were stoned to death for murders and for being thieves even... God did condone this.. So, do we as taxpayers pay for this man to just sit there and we feed him, clothe him, he dies? OR does God condone this for his murder? Do you see anywhere in the bible that says the LAW not other humans but the LAW should not punish someone by death? look it up..
