I just got a call from Kristin Wood and she said to let you know that the meeting with the chair of the Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles, Rissie Owens, went very well this morning.
Kristin and Jeff's lawyer went together for the meeting. It was with Owens and one other woman on the Board. Owens let Kristin and Scott talk and tell them what they felt the Board needed to know. Both women had blank legal pads and proceeded to take lots of notes. Owens told Kristin that by 1:00 PM on Tuesday they would announce their decision.
Owens also told her they had received a lot of letters and petitions and would continue to look at them until they made their decision tomorrow.
So, if you have not faxed a letter or made a call, you can still do it.

Tomorrow is Jeff's birthday and lots of his family will be visiting him. I hope his wish comes true!
