the "intimidating" or a "burden!" is the difficulty I shared with you about the Roman Catholic tradition of my grandmother and uncle. I have tried to examine myself to see if I am trying to take the "easy way out," so that I don't have to take responsibility for my actions. I studied the commandment about the Sabbath; I do not know if you are familiar with John MacArthur, Jr., and his teaching. He has The Master's Seminary in Southern California, and has consulted with many Jewish Rabbis. He shared in a sermon about the importance of remembering the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. If done in accordance with G-d's commandments, it seriously would make anyone with sincerity holy! By that, I mean they would be sanctified, set apart to G-d, and oh my--if they did this every 7th day for all of their days, it would reflect on their countenance in ways that would be tangible. I believe this is why (one of many reasons) the Hebrews have survived so many trials (that is such a trivial word to describe their/your journey through history). It is a rather long read but I would ask that if you can take the time that you read and advise me if his take on how you celebrate the Sabbath is accurate. It does reflect on my response to your question about the "intimidating/burdensome" aspect of your post.
