Thanks a lot. You sure have a good memory. I never had a good one to start with and it hasn''t got any better.
I wasn't part of the fight crew( pilots,crew chief and door gunner) I was what they call a avionic repair tech. Which repairs the radios and navigation equiptment on the choppers. That would mean that I worked on all or rode in all at various times. Probably waited in line with that five gallon can of water waiting to take a shower at the fishnet,(I sure remember that). I was there late 68 early 69. Only went to fishnet when the general was there. Flew in and out with him quit a bit. Recieved orders for Germany, but they gave me a choice of choosing my duty station, if I came back to Nam and get out 120 day early. Thirty days later I was back... in Vung Tau, working in a fixed wing co and going down town every night. Always had fond thought my time in the 199th though. Jim Johnson
