You've constantly beaten your drum about BUSH stripping the regulations -

So, what regulations did Bush strip?

The congressional committees (both houses) had the authority to examine the entire mortgage industry - and "oversight" would have included that.

Mere audits would have been the job of the IRS - and thus had nothing to do with oversight.
