PICTURE BOWED ON THE SIDES (PINCUSION)
If you can't see bloated caps at C4407 or 4403 then you may not even need parts. Usually on 187's the pincushion problem is normally a high resistance pad where the pin damper diode and C4407 connect. Rather large pad that you need to scrape down and reflow solder there. 9 times
out of 10 that was the fix.

        On your ctc197 the value of the r14305 is 3.6k and most likely the flyback is shorted.

        If you use a generic flyback, this will sometimes cause this problem. Try an ASTI, or HR flyback. Dani

        Could find nothing on jail bars on that chassis, could be the flyback if it was not an oem and the bars were not their before replacement.

        Sure sounds like you have a bad electrolytic in boost supply. Look for a cap with value between 1mf and 10mf at 160-450volt. Should be somewhere around flyback or on CRT module.
