This Is A Hate Crime

"And while the two majority judges confirmed Smith's death penalty, they acknowledged the Canadian's initial lawyer "failed to investigate Smith's mental state at the time of the crime, and failed to discuss possible defences before Smith pleaded guilty" and was sentenced to death."

mental state = homicidal
defenses = none

The guy insisted on pleading guilty. If his atty refused, he could have easily fired the guy, represented himself, and plead guilty and even the 9th Circuit couldn't have whine about it because the right to represent oneself is in the constitution.

And if he had any defenses that would have resulted in a different outcome if presented to the jury, the 9th circuit would have reversed the verdict. They didn't.

This is a hate crime. He's lived 28 years longer than the young native American men he murdered. Time for him to act like a man and accept his punishment. Pussy
