Thanks for the suggestion about the book and I will suggest that we add it to our library. I just looked at the posts related to blind caning (Mical Wilmot Carlton); that certainly looks like the chair I am working on. There is a reference to tools but no specific tools. Can you expand on that???

  As Cathryn said, I've had experience with this, along with others on this list. #1 - If the cane needs to be stained (inside and out), it must be colored before the caning is done. Ritt dye works... more
