Located this book and hopefully will have it in my hands soon; thanks for the suggestion. We already own The Caners Handbook and it is an excellent source. It was very helpful when I started caning several years ago. Generally, when SAGE customers require blind caning, it is passed on to me since I enjoy it and by now have several years of experience.

Today we reviewed all of Mica's posts but were unable to locate one demonstrating double blind caning. Did I miss something???

I was interested to read that Mica uses includes crochet hooks among her tools;our workshop manager is a retired dentist and we have inherited some equipment. We expect our customer to review the chairs and get some idea of stain color though I much prefer cane in its' natural state.
To answer Mica's question: We are in Summit New Jersey. This is a wonderful forum; thank you Cathryn and Mica.
