I have a bad back but I stand using a old Workmate bench. You can adjust the height by choosing to fold out the legs or not. My DH made a box (24x24x6)that can be clamped on it large enough for a char to sit in or a rocker to sit on. The box keeps the rockers from rocking. It also keeps me from loosing my tools. I just set them in the box. I work in what should be a spare bedroom with my computer TV and Netflix to keep me company. Linda Sippel An Arkansas Caner
I get asked all the time by the folks I demonstrate chair caning for, whether I stand or sit while I do my chair caning and other types of chair seat weaving. As I've said before, when I was first... more

Thanks for your kind words. I'm doing the settee extremely slowly, and other, easier chairs between. I did 'step 3' on half of the back yesterday...it's very trying & hard on my back. The fact that... more
