I'm pleased to report that Drs. Andrew and Amanda Dick are the proud parents of a daughter, Elin Joey Dick, born this morning in Seymour, In. All are doing fine.

After leaving the hospital, we came back to Andrew's house and I started a caning a seat. The second strand of NM cane I pulled out measured 26.5 ft.!!! Wow. I purchased the material from V.I. Cane and Reed after learning about their quality at last year's Gathering. They have always sent quality cane to me.

As an added bonus, I am using just 2 brass caning pegs to cane this seat. It is soooo much easier, faster and neater when I use the blind knot. Anyone else cane a seat with just 2 pegs?? I'd love to know.
