Hi Joe,

Congratulations for weaving your first paper fibre rush seat, that's great to hear! The word "fibre" denotes the man-made paper rush and is spelled that way to make it clear that it's not a natural material as is the word "fiber."

I have always used varnish or poly straight and not diluted without any problems, but I suppose cutting it wouldn't be a bad idea. Shellac, however, I do cut with denatured alcohol.
