Fiber Rush Weaving

Hi! I have the same issue if weaving the fiber rush dry. If it’s 5/32” rush, I soak it for 30-45 seconds and if it’s 6/32” rush, soak it for 90 seconds. You can compress the rush on the other three sides with a wedge and a hammer to match the front right side and keep your measurements equal. I usually go 4 rounds and then check measurements and compress it before making 4 more rounds. Be careful not to soak it longer. It starts to fuzz up and/or disintegrate and then when you apply final finish, it gives a rough feel.
