    Anyone have any “tricks “ for repairing curved back chairs with pressed cane. How do you obtain the tightness that is “easy” with uncurved/flat surfaces.? I would appreciate any assistance.

      If the curve is only on the top and bottom margins, but the sides are straight, then anchor the cane at 12 o'clock and 6 o'clock and then set in the rest of the spline in the top and bottom grooves... more

      J2DOC1, You really don't need to concern yourself with a "tight" pressed cane seat. Just be sure to start tamping the sheet cane into the center top and center bottom first. Then work your way out to ... more
