Lots of good advice here on how to ...

Cathryn suggested -among other things - that you line up the panels. Doing that will also help you see (and document in pix if needed) how “exactly perfectly identical” those panels are to one another. I don’t have near the experience of those whose tips you now have, but the “exactly the same” sets of chairs I’ve done have never had exactly the same dimensions. Perhaps it’s the same for panels.

      What pattern of sheet cane are you using? I'm asking because some are easier to apply than others. I would suggest doing the tops and bottoms first, making sure they are exact, then do the sides.... more

        I have been experimenting with different methods and have found that securing the corners first has really helped me get a better alignment.
