So glad I found this forum. I am a hobbyist caner turned professional I have done both hand caned and sheet caned for chairs that I own and that is how I got started. I caned 6 chairs for a friend and got paid then caned two chairs for someone that a local furniture restorer who had seen my work and had a customer who needed some chairs done. I much prefer to hand cane as I get into a Zen mood working in my shop and listening to some good vibes. I want to learn other caning patterns such as daisy, spider, lace etc also how to incorporate dyed reed into these various patterns. I've searched all over, no teachers near me but I am pretty good at learning from a printed source. Can anyone point me to a book or pamphlet all the ones on line just show the basic 7 step method. Thanks, John
