You should come up with several in the thread that talk about holding removable rush seats, with excellent suggestions. Holding Removable Seats by Lou Gatti on June 27, 2007 is one of them. I had to look long and hard before I found it though, no wonder you had troubles!

        You are so right much easier to adjust and unhook rehook, & I put some electric tape over the end that goes onto the table so they don't scratch up the work surface or screech as I spin the chair... more

        I pushed rubber cane tips onto the end of my clamps to prevent scratching and sliding.

      Rhonda, Go back to the Search box and type in "Rush Seats" without the quotes and a page full of posts will come up. Use the capital letters, but remove the quotes. Should work, it did for me! Cathryn
