In 1851 there was a Josiah Reddie, age 52, living in Portland Street in Kings Lynn who is described as a Professor of Music. His birthplace is given as Bow, Middlesex.
There is a Josiah Ferdinand Reddie who died in Lynn in 1860, who is presumably the same man as there were only 3 Josiah Reddies living in Lynn at the time and the other two lived on after 1860.
In 1816 there was a marriage in Rotherhithe between Josiah Ferdinand Reddie and Eliza Barding, for which parental consent was required.
I am sure that, given time, these can all be linked together and to the later records I found.
Has anybody come across Josiah Ferdinand Reddie of Kings Lynn? I've recently bought a printed edition of his hymn tunes, but can't find out anything about it. I can't find it in the BL.
