Headmaster Grace
Fri Jul 16, 2010 9:24pm

After a charming discussion with the man responsible for fathering Seth Batrice, Devon glanced around the room. The Purebloods were cohorting, sending withering glares Cassandra's way, but thus far, she looked fine. She was with Jael, now, clutching her hand and laughing about some joke between the two.

Eve was here, along with a man Devon wasn't sure he knew. He looked familiar in a way that songs and smells feel familiar, but difficult to place. Then the man sauntered off, and cleared Devon's view to Eve. She was drinking something. It could have been the innocent butterbeer, certainly, but he was far from convinced that it wasn't mead. With his renewed impeccable wandless, Devon turned the liquid inside to apple juice, walking over to her pleasantly.

After all, the two of them had to keep up appearances. And what would irritate Eve further than having to keep up appearances with Devon in a time and place she couldn't avoid?

As she took another sip from her glass, he was beside her. "Easy, Eve," he assured her, keeping an eye on Cassandra and Jael from across the room. "Now's the time for appearances, and your face flushes scarlet after one drink."
