Austin Harding
Oh, you must
Sat Oct 9, 2010 10:54am

Austin had bounded into the Court, quickly locating his friend and making his way over. He glanced up at the staff table, Jered and Sarah already in their seats behind the Heads, still looking all loved up. He grinned at them when Jered noticed him, a slight nod. They had promised not to treat each other like brothers when they were in school but both knew how difficult that was going to be. And it would be weird calling Sarah Nurse Mason again.

As Austin sat down opposite, the silence spell was cast so he never had a chance to speak to Derek beforehand. But he watched his friend as the speech took place. A strange look seemed to cross the guy's features, Austin frowned a little back at him, wondering what the boy was thinking.

'Earth to Derek,' Austin said once when the spell was lifted, but got no response. So he ordered his food and shoveled the first few bites in. Whatever was up, Derek seemed to snap out of, but Austin still knew something was troubling him. They had been roommates for two years now.

'Hey,' he replied and took a sip from his butterbeer. 'What's up with you?' he asked.
