I don't know if I ever told you about Mac's dinner dance. I wish that I had recorded it before he tore his ACL. He still does it, but it is not flamboyant like it used to be. He made it up on his own. When he decides that it is dinner time we tell him to do the dinner dance. He has been such a "joy". He has been a very healthy and happy dog and we have loved him dearly. When he tore his ACL we chose to do pain management rather than surgery, partially because of his age. The only time that he had anesthesia was when he was neutered. My niece's dog had ACL surgery on one leg and then 7 months later the other one tore. I guess that that is not uncommon. Mac no longer runs like the wind but he gets around fine. I used to love to watch him run. It was like watching a thoroughbred horse. It is so hard to watch them grow old and know that we will have to allow them to leave us at some point. I just love him every day and give him hugs and kisses. He is a big lap dog and just wants to be by my side. I will make the most of the time that we have.
