I remember watching your progress Lori. I'm sorry to hear that he's not in theater any more and that it's come down to surgery. I am also sorry your town does not have a nice support system. I never realized how lucky we were to live in a town full of homeschoolers.

I often find myself engaged in conversation with strangers about highly gifted children, education, and the unique challenges that come with homeschooling. I find when people start out critical, if I leave the door open to answer their questions they usually leave mute.

I think we are the voice of these children. While we want to wrap ours in protecting coating, I know that information is power, and I can be that source. So I try to empower others w/ a better understanding.

Wish I could wiggle my nose and find you a great support group locally. Hang in there. :)

      Lori- I'm sorry to hear your DS didn't heal with the brace. I remember your posts regarding the concerns. Hopefully surgery will be the answer for him. J is 12 and I am fighting to keep him... more
