I am sorry I should have been more specific. With respect to the rear sight the base was fine I only had to replace the blade or part number 48. I had to loosen the screw under the slide to loosen the screw found on the rear of the slide. I then slid out the rear sight and dropped out the blade and replaced with a new one. the base was fine with white index markings to match the white line found top center of the slide. Like I said someone rounded out the square notch. The front sight I just pulled and replaced with a new one (#44H ((For the 6 3/4")))
As for the follower it is metal, black in color and is cut bar stock I am sure. I hope this is correct for the time frame it is similar to others I have.
