Rear sight

John,

I am sorry I should have been more specific. With respect to the rear sight the base was fine I only had to replace the blade or part number 48. I had to loosen the screw under the slide to loosen the screw found on the rear of the slide. I then slid out the rear sight and dropped out the blade and replaced with a new one. the base was fine with white index markings to match the white line found top center of the slide. Like I said someone rounded out the square notch. The front sight I just pulled and replaced with a new one (#44H ((For the 6 3/4")))

As for the follower it is metal, black in color and is cut bar stock I am sure. I hope this is correct for the time frame it is similar to others I have.

Thank You!

Hello Tom, At this late date we can only speculate about why that pis is so long. It is easy to change pins without it being detectable but it should only be necessary if the barrel is changed or set ... more

John, Thank you for your thoughts. There is no real GOOD reason the 2 sets of lengths are in the same envelop and I believe some one just combined 2 types (Different length.) The pin and barrel do... more
