Thank you for your thoughts. There is no real GOOD reason the 2 sets of lengths are in the same envelop and I believe some one just combined 2 types (Different length.)
The pin and barrel do not look molested it is just that I thought the pin was so much longer then others I have and/or have seen I just raised an eyebrow and asked myself why. I plan on replacing the pin with one that is new and has a length of about .655 which seems to be the mean, normal, whatever. The length of the pin has no effect on form fit and function but just bothers me it is longer than what I will call a normal pin.
I found it to be a very interesting experience and at the end of the day I learned a bit more.
