Hello John!

Thanks very much for the reply! This is something of a mystery gun. The only hard evidence has been the American Rifleman and newspaper clippings, plus the photos at the Forgotten Weapons web site. The Coast Guard historians have referred me to the National Archives and a retired Gunner's Mate who has published a number of articles about the Coasties.

If I turn up anything, I'll post it here. If it is indeed a High Standard, it might be a rare prize indeed.
