Hello Bob,

Is there an assembly date code on the bottom of the barrel just forward of the frame in the form of two upper case letters?

        Yes , but not full stamp. It looks like pp or RR.

          Hello Bob, I was hoping that teh assembly date code might offer a clue to your question. "RR" is not a valid assembly code. I suspect the barrel is simply mismarked with respect to the marking... more
