Hello Melvin,

The proper method for measuring the barrel length on the Model B is to measure from the front of the slide to the muzzle. The Model B was offered with 4.50" and 6.75" barrels.

The Model B's were had 4, 5, or 6 digit serial numbers with one exception. and teh factory did nto use any serial numbers with 7 digits beginning with "4".

Are there two levers on the left side of the frame or is there one lever on the right and one on the left?

Is the button on top of the slide missing leaving only a hole?

Hello Melvin, With a 3.00" barrel it is not original to the gun or has been cut off. From your description, you have a type II takedown version of the Model B. Yes, you can remove the slide if you... more
