I have HI-STANDARD H-D Military, .22 LR, SN 256662, 6 3/4 inch bbl, adj rear sight, blue, chkrd dark wood, grips with 2 screws each panel, no logo, no thumb rests, Small button magazine with black follower, no bullet count #'s on mag. Left side frame "Made in U.S.A. The High Standard Mfg Co. New Haven, Conn. Patent Pending, 22 Cal. Long Rifle.

SSN 442-30-5214 on front strap; no good for your purposes, but wonder if a forum reader might have known this non-collector, probably born 1930. The gun was traded in to a rifle builder friend of mine.

What can you tell me about it?
