Info on my late Father's Model B

Hard black grips that feel like plastic with HS logo.
Most info indicates the grips are hard rubber.
4.5" barrel, s/n 32958, slide s/n 958.
Takedown lever and safety are on left side, fixed sights.
Probably was blued but now some brown and some worn to a shine.
Plunger on back of slide is oval with knurled texture.
Dad obtained this no later than 1948, possibly earlier but not between 1942 and mid 1945.

      John, I think dad bought this used but likely the original purchase was in Altavista, VA. Probably got it from his first cousin, they used to shoot rats at the dump.
