Another school year was coming to an end. Some people were excited, ready to start the summer break. Others were rushing around, trying to get things done.

Mortimer was in the latter category. Honestly, it seemed like there was more needing to be done before students left at the end of the year than there was at the beginning of the year. Of course, at the beginning of the year, he and the rest of the staff had some time during the summer to get ready before school started.

He personally wasn't that big of a fan of summer. It was a longer period of forced social obligations than midterm was and putting up with inane small talk. Of course, on the other hand, it was more spread out and not all crammed into two weeks of nonstop balls and parties and events.

One of the things that needed to be taken care of was picking next year's Head Students and that meant voting on them. Mortimer couldn't say he could really complain too much about who was on the ballot. Of course, he couldn't usually say that, given he didn't know much about most of the students. Interestingly enough, this year he knew most of them at the very least by name as the only one who hadn't held any sort of position prior was his nephew.

Once the fifth and sixth years had assembled, Mortimer cleared his throat. They were not a large group so he didn't bother with Sonorus. "I trust that you all know why you are here today, to pick who will be the next Head Boy and Head Girl of Sonora next year. " With that the ballots were dispensed.

OOC- Head student ballot can be found here- http://sonora.terragenaonline.net/Admin/VotingForm/29 is in character and if you have more than one character, you vote per character. Votes can remain as anonymous as you would like them to be and you do not have to reply to this message even though you may if you'd like to. You have until the day before the new term starts to get your votes in.
