If Tabitha had had a different personality, she might have been self-conscious about how obviously British she was. After all, it wasn't just her accent and the way she said certain things that made it obvious but it was also her foods. She had caught Mary watching her as she poured her cream and found it endearing that the woman was so interested in such things. Tabitha hesitated to think that Mary was interested in her. She was perhaps just the object of mild fascination given her Britishisms and it would, more than likely, wear off soon enough.

"It is quite amazing," she agreed with the Potions teacher before having a mouthful of cake and closed her eyes in delight. It was so delicious and smooth and was absolutely delectable. It was the perfect dessert and she silently thanked whoever was in the kitchens for their efforts.

In the middle the enjoyment of her dessert, she caught Mary doing something rather furtively out of the corner of her eye. Frowning and also extremely curious, she turned her full attention to the witch, wondering what on earth she was doing. For some reason that Tabitha didn't understand, Mary appeared to be cooking the marshmallows. The Defence teacher had never seen such a thing and couldn't resist asking Mary what she was doing.

"I have never seen such things," she leaned in, her voice no louder than a whisper. It was clear that Mary was trying not to catch attention to her activities. "May I try some?"
