Mary blushed and then smirked as she relaxed again. She'd been caught out and realized she didn't mind. Excitement came over her next, and she leaned into that feeling, appreciating its simplicity.

"Usually people eat it with a full s'more. So you'd grab a chocolate bar and some graham crackers and sort of make a sandwich," Mary explained, grabbing a second marshmallow and lighting her wand again.

She was glad Sonora's table offered the big marshmallows. Big enough to make for a full mouthful, these were the best kind to toast.

"Do you want to try it my way all black like the one I ate, or do you want it less...burnt?" she asked. "Don't answer that, we'll do one of each."

She smiled at her friend, enjoying their secret marshmallow adventure.

"I'm so excited you haven't had one before! It's not often you get to be someone's first toasted marshmallow experience, and this is sort of an important milestone."

The thought made Mary practically giddy. Tabitha's soft face looked so interested and Mary wanted to laugh.

"Look at us," she giggled. "Two grown women, oogling over marshmallows and tittering like schoolchildren."

When the first marshmallow was properly charred, Mary scooped it up, carefully bouncing it to avoid burning herself, and offered it in an open palm to Tabitha.

"For you, m'lady," Mary teased. "A treat fit for kings."
