Tabitha finished her delectable treat and licked at her fingers. It had been truly a new experience and delightful one, in more ways than just tasting something new. It was also nice that she'd shared a new experience with the lovely Mary Brooding. Tabitha found their new found friendship delightful but also, incredibly confusing. The woman was so lovely and Tabitha couldn't help but wonder if there was something... more than friendship lingering underneath all the laughter and niceties. However, Tabitha hardly believed that such a thing was possible given that they'd only known each other less than a day. You only read about such things in romance books and Tabitha knew that, more often than not, such things were unlikely to exist.

"It's delicious," she told Mary, in relation to the smore. "Really, truly a delight."

She was happy that Mary found her funny and laughed lightly when the marshmallow at the corner of her mouth was pointed out to her. Deciding that licking it away would be rather difficult, given the stickiness, she picked up her napkin and wiped away the final trace of her sugary treat. She felt kind of sad that the new experience they'd shared was now over but she also felt that it was the first paving stone for many other new experiences and the thought of that gave her a thrill of excitement.

She sat back, now completely relaxed in Mary's presence, her nerves at the beginning of the feast having been long forgotten. She agreed with Mary's assessment of the meal. "Yes, I don't think anyone has had a meal lovelier than ours."

What Tabitha did not say was that she didn't think anyone else had had a lovelier dinner partner than her, either. She felt really content. Which caused a question to occur to her.

"When..." she paused, quite unsure about how she should phrase the question and whether to ask it at all, in case it ruined the nice mood. She let out a sigh and decided to go for it anyway. "When were you happiest in life so far?"
