Need assistance? (in the library)
Sun Nov 6, 2016 01:13

The library was pleasant on days like these: there weren’t rambunctious classmates attempting to distract every diligent student in their vicinity, books were in order and all the chairs were pushed in nicely. It was pleasant, certainly, but oh so dull. Jack was supposed to be on duty, but for once he was stuck in the shelves, perusing through the fiction section. Though he prided himself in being an intelligent, no-nonsense sort of wizard, he had a special affinity for mystery books as well as one genre that he considered his deepest, darkest secret.

Alone in the stacks, Jack was reading the first chapter of a book entitled, The Notebook, Muggle literature that he assumed had once been included in Muggle Studies. Regardless of its origin, the story was already captivating. As soon as he heard a noise, Jack shut the book and shoved it into the closest shelf he could find, disturbing the row of books on the other side, and whirled around to face the culprit. “Um, can I help you?” he asked.
