She didn’t give much detail, which probably meant that she didn’t really want to talk about it anymore, but Dustin’s facial expression did not change. I’tll take more than a little bump to knock me around,” he added in a show of false masculinity.

“You, uh, don’t have to tell me about your bad news, but if it’d help to talk about it, you’re welcome to.” Years ago he probably wouldn’t have bothered with this encouragement, but something about summer had changed him.
