Sounds very familiar...I picked up my first PA back when my then 18 and 14 year old sons decided to learn to play (guitar and bass in that order) and the older son wanted to get in a band...and that simply grew.

Unfortunately, I am on the wrong end of the "generation gap" and the last few generations of college students have not been rental clients. Thus I have downsized. I have enough to handle a small venue...maybe 200 people maximum. But that is all I need for where I play and the music we perform.

I think what you are doing is a great service to the younger musicians.
