I too have looked at the possibility of getting a battery powered set up for remote wedding ceremonies.
Why, you should ask...?
My classical group performs for a few seaside beach wedding ceremonies per year.

(There seem to be more and more brides that want beach wedding ceremonies these days..Newport, RI / Cape Cod area btw)

I can provide a small PA (two K8's or Bose 402's), lav mic, DBX GoRack, Power amp if needed, etc. plus a small generator (Harborfreight 2500 inverter).

My fee for the above is $150.00 when my ensemble is performing for the ceremony.

A battery-powered rig would be ideal for the application but I already "have the stuff" and although the genny is a bit heavy, it works well.

....but then again, a battery-powered rig would be so convenient....
