quiet here too on the sound front..
Tue Sep 11, 2018 07:59

My sound-for-hire side business has been quiet as of late. My last SFH gig was the Relay for Life in June.

I usually do the sound for a local town's 4th of July fireworks but the display was cancelled due to lack of funding...

Last year I had made a conscious decision to concentrate on my classical ensemble's promotion/gigging. I upgraded my website, started a facebook page (if you are really bored go to Allegro Chamber Players on FB) to post some reviews.... Our wedding/event gigging is picking up...

On the sound-side I have a speaker rental this weekend and have a couple of multi-band shows scheduled in November...

New gear trolling? Ehhhh..... I could use another ITech amp to run the subs in my TX3/ES808 rack. I currently have an XTI4000 in that rack for subs.... The subs lack "depth" unless I center-cluster them which lends a bit more punch...

(I saw an IT4000 on Craigslist for $900.00 which would fit the bill perfectly but I would have to sell a couple of amps to make it work and this is the wrong time of year to sell gear...)

That's about it.
Right after this post I have to score an ensemble arrangement for my group's wedding in Newport on Friday...

(We have weddings on Friday/Saturday/Sunday this upcoming weekend.)

Unless something sound-wise comes up in the next couple of months I'm "muso Mike"....

We have Elvis AND Johnny coming up in a month or so (I think). This is not a local production, in fact, the promoter is the agent and the show provides their own lights and sound...all we provide is... more
