"We all make mistakes"
Thu Oct 12, 2017 10:17am

You can't make this stuff up.

I love that the Hollywood elites are imploding, and the atrocities of Harvey and so many others are spilling out. It could not happen to a better bunch of hypocrites. That said...

Are the "Hollywood" elite woman who are now spilling out in groves equally responsible for allowing this to happen? I am not talking about the young actors, but the so called seasoned feminists who have be enablers, allowing the predators like HW, Ben, Matt, and I am sure... MANY more to prey.....

Harvey is certainly pure evil, but so are the woman who allowed this to go unchallenged.

    • Do you say it's a "wash?" ~ PH🙄🙄EY, Thu Oct 12 11:38am
Seems to me it's really a Hollywood family matter. So why do you care? A few disgruntled lackluster starlets rejected by the casting coach. In other words...."Sorry Charlotte" you are not good enough.
      • I would say you are viewing Hollywood ~ Sprout, Thu Oct 12 11:47am
as a separate sub-set of society and subject to their own rules and expectations... But I think it is fair to ask whether it SHOULD be that way... It maybe normal in Hollywood for a starlet to sleep... more
        • Prison culture. ~ PH😳😳EY, Thu Oct 12 11:57am
People are Peope everywhere. Try HARPER VALLEY PTA. The entire media attention is designed to give fodder to screw ball right wingers who could likely benefit from more of what they dare not say.
          • People are people everywhere yes... ~ Sprout, Thu Oct 12 12:00pm
But, as you noted, prison culture is very different from regular American society. Hollywood culture is different as well. And you find different cultures everywhere you go around the world. People... more
        • Precisely! ~ TheFrustratedPragmatist, Thu Oct 12 11:51am
And since there is no real practical way to force Hollywood to "meet the same expectations as the rest of society", it is probably more appropriate for everyone else to recognize it for what it is,... more
          • Your last sentence makes sense. ~ PH🙄🙄EY, Thu Oct 12 11:59am
But it's obvious all of America wants to be rich, sexy, and worshipped. Enjoy your vicarious envy.
            • LOL! ~ TheFrustratedPragmatist, Thu Oct 12 12:05pm
Rich, sexy and worshipped aren't even on my top ten list of goals in my life.
              • Small wonder you is Frustrsted! ~ PH😳😳EY, Thu Oct 12 2:23pm
Jesus, get a life! I know no grass grew under my Italian made clod hoppers when I was younger. I seemed rich, I seemed sexy, and on a rare occasion there might have been some small worship services.... more
          • To me the key would be informed consent... ~ Sprout, Thu Oct 12 11:59am
To me, as long as it is known up front what the expectations are, then individuals CONSIDERING that career field can make an informed decision. When a person signs up for the military, they know... more
            • You do know ~ PH🙄🙄EY, Thu Oct 12 1:27pm
the human brain is not fully developed until age 25? You seem to think kids weigh out that which you hold in a perfect logic, and judge on a false premise why ill-advised "kids" make stupid... more
    • Dues paid.... now sour gapes... ~ Sprout, Thu Oct 12 10:55am
Ethical or not, male Hollywood power players who COULD make an actress' career used that power to extort sex. That is one perspective. Ethical or not female actresses sold their bodies to male... more
    • You may be working under a false presumption ~ TheFrustratedPragmatist, Thu Oct 12 10:27am
You label Harvey as "pure evil", and apply the standards of what I assume you call "good" or "moral" behavior for our American Society. And yet, all of the evidence seems to indicate that "Hollywood" ... more
      • It all comes to a halt with forcible rape ~ Mondo Fuego™ , Thu Oct 12 4:49pm
As contemptible as it is, it's one thing to hit on someone repeatedly until they give into unwanted advances. It's even worse to use economic promise and/or punishment to gain sexual favors. That... more
