"Power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely.”

We are seeing more undeniable evidence as Weinstein, Franken, and now Lauer have been exposed as abusers of power. Bill Clinton set the standard. The argument from the Left was clear: Abuse of power is okay as long as it promotes and supports our political beliefs and agenda.

Thankfully the framers recognized abuse of power as a threat to freedom, a free society, and the republic itself. They created a limited, decentralized government designed to protect individuals from abuse and the suppression of our individual rights.

Their wisdom endures.
