"Yes, Gaza militants hide rockets in schools, but Israel doesn't have to bomb them"

Let that sink in for a minute. It says that even if Israel knows where its enemies are hiding weapons or firing them from, Israel should refrain from attacking these locations just because civilians are around.

Yes, Gaza militants hide rockets in schools, but Israel doesn't have to bomb them

A United Nations agency dedicated to helping Palestinians discovered 20 rockets hidden in one of its Gaza Strip schools on Wednesday, according to an alarmed press release from the agency. Palestinian militant groups such as Hamas dominate Gaza and use rockets as a tool to terrorize nearby Israelis.

"This is a flagrant violation of the inviolability of its premises under international law," said the release from the agency, the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA). "This incident, which is the first of its kind in Gaza, endangered civilians including staff and put at risk UNRWA's vital mission to assist and protect Palestine refugees in Gaza."
.....
Here's the thing, though: while incidents like this force Israel to decide between bombing civilian structures or allowing Hamas to use those structures as rocket storage depots, it does not actually force Israel to choose to bomb civilian buildings. It is entirely within Israel's power to not bomb civilian buildings.

There is no indication that Israel deliberately targets civilians, as Hamas does. But Israeli air strikes in Gaza, targeting Hamas and other militant groups that choose to embed themselves among civilians, kill an overwhelming number of Palestinian civilians. Last week, two UN agencies separately estimated that 70 to 77 percent of the Palestinian deaths have been civilians. Human Rights Watch on Wednesday accused Israel of "targeting apparent civilian structures and killing civilians in violation of the laws of war."

The Geneva Conventions expressly forbid the use of civilian structures & locations for storage of military materiel or for use as bases for attack. Doing so is a war crime. On the other hand, the Geneva Conventions expressly permit attacks upon such structures & locations despite the presence of civilians. The use of "human shields" constitutes a war crime. The civilian deaths result directly from Hamas' policy of using human shields, not from Israel's policy of destroying Hamas installations & storage areas. Hamas, not Israel, is responsible for these civilian deaths.

The idiot who wrote the above admits that Israel does not deliberately target civilians while Hamas does so. Yet, instead of condemning Hamas for its war crimes, this fool calls upon Israel to refrain from attacking these locations. Let me show you exactly the logical conclusion as to where this insane suggestion must inevitably lead.

1. Israel makes a policy of not striking civilian areas where Hamas store or fires weapons.
2. Hamas, seeing that Israel will not strike these areas decides to concentrate all of its weapons and attacks in these areas.
3. Hamas is now free to attack Israel with impunity and Israel will not shoot back, since ALL Hamas weapons are now stored and used in civilian areas.
4. Hamas rockets rain down upon Israel and its civilian population and Israel simply sits on its hands and permits this to continue indefinitely.

This is an idea from Fairyland. Absolutely NO nation in the World would do as Max Fisher suggests in the article above. Why should Israel be required to pursue a suicidal policy when no other country would even consider it? Israel will never do this, so why even suggest it? Because Max Fisher and others of his ilk are all to happy to help destroy the State of Israel. No thanks, Max. Keep your stupid ideas to yourself.
