The video assumes an even playing field. Of course, that is not true. The video assumes that the work is done before the brothers decide on how to pay. The reality is that a society decides how to structure taxes, and if citizens are overruled and do not like the structure, they can leave that society and find another society that structures things in a way they wish.

If we, the people, decide to institute a progressive tax, then that is what we will do.

The video also assumes that those who make less must just not be working as hard as those who earn more. This creates the undercurrent that those who make more deserve to keep as much of it as they can. It is an infection in our society, this idea that it is acceptable for the rich to attempt to do anything in their power to tilt the playing field further in their favor - simply because they can, and this ability demonstrates that they deserve such things.

It's sickening.

In the face of poverty, obscene wealth is obscene.
