"Crys..." Eros felt her move away to the door and he could see her aura, her light, as it struggled against whatever way Phere's illness was affecting her. He had to be glass half full after the hands he'd been dealt. Things were just starting to fall into place for him as far as his dreams went, but he wouldn't ever complain about all that came before. Meeting Crys and Pops and Rio, coming here, even being the outcast of Unkindness became tolerable once they arrived. He turned a bit to glance back towards Phere's light on the bed. "Stay in bed. Don't answer the door for anyone but us," he urged. "I'll come back to check on you soon." He was the only one here from Acerbus' guards who knew what she was. It was his responsibility to ensure she stayed safe here. And her secret as well. He then moved to open the door for Crys, grabbing her waist. "Come on... I remember the way," he joked, meaning to her room. He wasn't letting her struggle there alone.
Twilight paused and watched Jupiter as he carried her over to the closet. She looked down and away a bit. "Sorry... I thought you'd laugh..." she said quietly. His surprised look and lack of response beyond a small smile made her feel like her comment didn't sit well with him. She was still that innocent princess, but... she also found herself growing up a lot between getting married and having her role as Oracle thrust upon her so suddenly. "I kinda meant it, though..." she added, even quieter. She didn't get to enjoy her time with Jupiter as often as she'd like. Sometimes it bothered her that, even as her visions grew stronger and clearer, even with these backlashes from it all... she could never see her own future. She knew her history. Oracles didn't usually have long lives. Someone was always cutting them out of the equation. Perhaps it's why she was the first to be raised away from Aeon... maybe it gave her a chance.
Kahi smiled and nodded. "It has been," he agreed. "We'll have to talk again. We're practically family now, anyway."
Del listened to the discussion and then looked at Acerbus. "I think it's a good idea actually," she said, not surprisingly. "I know.. thieves... I was one," she added. "There's a loyalty among them and to anyone giving them a chance. more than thieves, they're still of Unkindness and twilight is still a princess... I think they would take great pride in having a part in her protection. Not many thieves are given such chances by royals..." she added. "I turned out to be more than my name.. didn't I?" she asked.
"I'm sure there's plenty of things we all could have avoided if we did things differently," Koi reasoned. "But I guess... that's how we learn. By our mistakes... right?" she asked, looking over at Tractus, sounding much like her father did. Her mother sometimes wondered if Koi would take up her father's seat in the Council some day. She had his perspective and integrity, and yet... Koi was more than happy just being a part of the Royal Court again.
Soraya actually laughed a little and shook her head, slipping off her shoes and moving back onto her bed to rest back against the headboard. "True, but I also know your weakness for soft feathers," she teased back. Goldens had soft feathers, but they could get hard as blades when willed. That one time the Swan Nation had come for a visit with the previous Emperor, Abbadon had been so taken with the one girl's feathers, which she gave a young Abbadon one of as a flirty keepsake.
Garand sighed a bit and nodded. "I wasn't that fond of it either. I worried... before I realized it wasn't you in control..." he paused, "I honestly worried you were done..." he said quietly. "I guess I'm always a bit afraid that you'll go home to your mother and that'll be it..." he admitted.
"Really?" Saffy smiled and got settled with Duncan on the bed, helping move the tray a bit so they both could get comfy to eat. "That'd be pretty cool. I mean... the world can't stop just because it's gotten darker..." She then leaned in and kissed his cheek.. "And I do hope there are other balls... I loved getting to dance with you, well, you know... standing up," she joked, teasing him a bit.
Nascha moaned softly into the kisses as she felt Serg's hands moving up her body with such slow intent. She could get to easily lost in him, and it didn't matter if they were just cuddling by the fire while he read one of his favorite stories aloud or if they were like this. She got him ruffled in his own rights, but he could get her heart racing, her tummy full of butterflies every time.
Vera smiled and looked at him as he seemed so set on paying attention to where he was going. "Well... that's why I have you, right?" she asked, pausing at how that sounded, but clearing her throat and trying to let it just ride out casually... which was hard to do.
